Lost:

Anyone else on here a fan of it?

What do we think might eventually happen with the show?

Lost:

It does my head in to hear that the writers don't know the ending yet, but are dragging it out to 8 series. I have said it before, but I really wish it had been bought by HBO who have a habit of killing great shows just at the right time i.e. Sopranos, Sex and the City, Oz, band of Brothers and more. In saying that, i'm looking forward to it starting again. I beleieve that they all died in the crash, and this is Purgatory, hence the constant crossing of the different character's paths. Good article about it in this month's Sky mag.

Mugsey - February 6, 2007 03:11 PM (GMT)
i love it but rarely get the time to watch it anymore due to traning so i have to rely on me cuz taping it for me and then sitting down & watching around 4 episodes at a time whenever i get the chance.

Milgod - February 6, 2007 03:39 PM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure they ruled out the purgatory idea already though. I love the show, anything with twist after twist and 'what the fuck' moments.
What was the deal with the huge foot! Can't wait for Sunday. 24 and Lost in one night!

I missed the start of the second series, tried picking it up a few weeks later and was totally confused. That was when I gave up.

Haven't missed an episode yet, and I'm still confused, WW..... :lolanimate:

Rich - February 7, 2007 02:22 PM (GMT)
I stopped watching it during the World Cup then tried and failed to pick it up again. People at work still watch it and it confuses me just listening to them talk about it???

Benidorm:

Watched it last week not expecting too much but was quite funny. Looking forward to tonight. There were some cracking lines such as..

"Her vagina looked like two padded coathangers" :lolanimate:

The Verdict:

Has anyone else been watching this?

I only saw the last half of tonights show so don't know what happened yesterday or in the first part of tonights show but it seems really interesting. I've always wondered what happens with a jury in a trial. I'm assuming its not quite like how it is represented on the show but it appears to me to give a good insight into what might happen on a case.

Fitz - February 13, 2007 10:06 AM (GMT)
Is that the one mixing acting and reconstruction for a true rape case? Heard it was supposed to be very good, but never got around to watching it.

Edit to say: No its not.

Rich - February 13, 2007 10:12 AM (GMT)
I wouldn't watch this as I think it comes under the celeb/reality tv heading.

I have done jury service though a few years back which was quite interesting. It wasn't a particularly serious case and when everything came out I was amazed the CPS had even seen fit to prosecute. In a lot of cases like this the jury are guided by the judge as to what verdict to come up with.

The story of Des from week before last in Lost was really good, the best I've seen in a long time.

Started watching Heroes as well, but that makes Lost look like a well structured, thought out diagram.

Love Lost, all the crazy new story lines that seem to appears every week.

24 is the daddy though. Edge of the seat stuff for me. Bauer kicks ass, the man will do anything to get the job done.

Unfortunately ever big plot holes are killing it for me. Terrorist escapes in a helicopter.......yet can fly around at will and nobody tracks sit? Started off as a brilliant idea, but is stretching belief all the time. Peter McNichol was a bad choice as well, as he is too recognisable as the idiot Savant from Ally McBeal (I know, I know, my wife used to make me sit through it, before I took up crochet.....)

I find it best to watch a whole series at once, box set style. That way you're so hooked you can't even think about plot holes.

I know a week gives me time to think, but that one was week was a doozie. Plus the fact that it seems easier to break in to/hack/kidnap CTU premises/personnel than it would to gain entry to a doll's house......

Heros

Awesome show but it's on SFX so I've been watching it on this website

Also, I thought that the writers of Lost did have the ending, only because of the amazing response from the audience they've been commissioned for more than the original three seasons. So they're stretching it out.

Seems to be Purgatory/Hell now alright, after the remarks etc made in the last few shows. Series finale on the Irish TV on Monday night with a double episode.

Just started watching Journeyman on Sky 1 which is quite good.

About a guy who keeps travelling back in time and is able to help people. A bit like quantum leap but he stays as himself rather than becoming the person he has to help.

Fitz - February 15, 2008 02:44 PM (GMT)
Lost back again the last few weeks. More new characters with new stories. The guy who plays Said was on J Ross a couplke of weeks ago and reckoned there is 2 more series. Whether he meant including this one, I don't know. He reckoned the writers knew the filling, but not the end - I think he got it the wrong way round. It definitely smacks of padding it out.

This thread has been criminally neglected.

Ross Kemp on Gangs is one of few programmes I'll look out for.

Ignore the fact that he can't speak without randomly inputting spaces ('Here in Compton. Theres few. Gangs that. Rival the Crips. And the Bloods'), and it's a bloody good show.

How to start your own country, with Danny Wallace who had his moments with 'Yes Man' and 'Join Me'. It's bizarre in a good way. Has THE greatest National Anthem of any fake country I've ever known. Citizens Required

National Anthem

Can't wait for new season of 24, also big fan of NCIS and Dexter both of which have just finished their runs on FX.

Merlin, BBC 1 on saturdays.

I hesitate to say that something is 'Worth the licence fee' on it's own, but this comes close.

BBC Iplayer has the previous episodes on (Or had as of last thursday, not checked since).

Superb stuff.
