Title: New business venture
Description: Video to DVD transfer.

Fitz - May 10, 2007 04:00 PM (GMT)
Set up a new business, which I've been thinking about for a while. Seems to be a gap in the market here for it, and its something I enjoy doing. Will NOT be offering the service to MDF for his traditional Christmas "messages" though.......

What do you think?

Carlo Algatrensig - May 10, 2007 04:30 PM (GMT)
Good luck with it Fitz. Don't know how much competition there is in the market but I'm sure its something that a lot of people will be interested in.

Bring em over when you're coming over on holidays, and I'll slave away while you enjoy yourselves.......

aksattee - May 10, 2007 07:13 PM (GMT)
Looks good Mr. Fitz. I am sure there will be a Market for it as the Video market is just going to disapear soon. People with Holiday and old family videos would be interested. Even I may have some old Vidoes to convert as well.

All the Best mate.

Looks good.

A couple of the images on the main page didn't load for me though. Using IE7 at the mo, shouldn't make a difference but it depends on how the site has been done, IE7 interprets CSS differently from other browsers (Microsoft and web standards don't go together)

The one next to 'extra copies', and the one above the VHS image.

Oh, and you've put the prices in silly money.

I did NOT use Aussie Dollars, you cheeky young man........

Looks fine in Firefox, Safari is having a complete strop.....Must have a look on Palm and PSP as well. Will get Mrs F to check on her PC in Work.....hang on, I've got Virtual PC, I'll do it myself....

No, they are the ones that showed up in Safari as well, but showed up as missing images when I tried the PC version of IE. Went into the sitebuilder SW again, and there does seem to be two jpgs in the html code. have removed them and will try again. Seems ok now. Would you have a look again, HW?

JUst gone back on, no annoying red crosses this time.

Are you linking the images through <img src=...> tags? If so can't see why its a problem. If you are CSSing them it may be an issue, only just started designing with IE7 so dunno what the issues are...

Fitz - May 10, 2007 09:16 PM (GMT)
See you lost me after linking...... :scarehair:
I cheated and used a do-it-yourself sitebuilder from the provider. Not bad for an hour's work?
What I did was went into the HTML code and saw the two jpg files that I had put in and removed before. Obviously it didn't remove the actual code

Thanks for checking for me.

Good job Fitz - you may want to add international dialling numbers in your contact details, you know like +353879182732 or 00353879182732 so that if anyone from the UK wants to call they arent put off by having to find the dialling codes out for themselves.

No worries mate. Any HTML/CSS issues just ask, its not my speciality but I do a bit of web design stuff for the company I work for, mostly Intranet stuff but same principles apply.

Its wothwhile checking sites in every browser, I always try Firefox (latest 3 versions or so), IE7, IE6, IE5, Nutscrape, and Opera. T'internet is such a big place there are always differences...

IE7 sucks by the way. Long live firefox!!

Wasn't thinking about doing it internationally, WP. Although I suppose if the postage was cheap enough it might work out. May change it anyway, methinks.

Get bursts of interest, then it all goes quiet again for a while. People seem to scare off when you ask them such tricky questions as "What kind of tape is it?"
