Anyone picked up on the irony that the 0-3 home defeat by Southend in a midweek cup fixture was followed on the Saturday by a 2-0 win against the same opposition. Wise was in the stands but not in charge for the first, the 2-0 win was Dennis and Gus' first fixture as management.
BTW, yet another PL official slumming it in League 1 therefore keeping McDermid well away from us. With Wise gone, will the FL be less cautious in the future?
