Title: Dark Knight

Has anyone seen the latest Batman film yet?
Col and I went last weekend expecting it to be as exciting as the hype lead us to believe- not quite so. A good film, great effects and Heath Ledger played a brilliant Joker (despite being dead :mask: ), but not quite as amazing as the media is making out.

It was a really good film (although 45 mins too long) but not as good as people are making out I agree.
Aaron Eckhart was perfect as Harvey Dent I thought. I like Bale but he is a much better Bruce Wayne than he is a Batman. All he seems to do when he turns into Batman is lower his voice and talk like he's been smoking for 40 years. He needs to stop trying so much, let himself free a bit, then he might be as good as Keaton was.

I saw it last night and thought it was really good.
I'm not normaly a fan of batman and wasn't really expecting much but I thourghly enjoyed it.

Michael keaton as Batman? First one that was shorter than the penguin........Found it funny when he was suggested as the Joker in the latest version, before Ledger got it. Started watching Batman returns again the other day, and I realised that C Bale really grates on my nerves as an actor, and has done since American psycho.
is it suitable for a nearly 7 year old?

Yeah, I nearly laughed out loud when he first started talking!
And, yes, I think it was a bit too long as well. Still, a good film, but we were expecting a lot more. I knew I shouldn't have believed the hype!

Just saw it. Agree with most of the above.
Good action, good effects. Ledger good as the Joker, but an Oscar? No way. I think that's the sort of role anyone could play i.e. Mad as a box of frogs, face painted etc.
Why did they give no background or story as to why he turned out like he did? At least in the 1989 version it was all explained neatly. Harvey Dent was very good in it.

Yes, what the hell was that about? Maggie Gyllenhall. When heath ledger called her beautiful with a straight face, THAT was his crowning moment as an actor........

A few broken bones by the latest news. He must have dropped Miss Daisy off and put his foot down.
