Eastyorkswhite - October 4, 2008 04:39 PM (GMT)
We got what we deserved Mr Beckford had one of them cant be arsed to run or challenge or do fuck all days.
Casper some great saves from him
Fraser Needs to tighten up at the back
White Young lad had a good game
Telfer Ok but not as commanding as recent games
Rui Some desperate last ditch tackles
Dougie Ran about a lot
Howson Was he there
Robbo Our star man today
Delph Didnt get into the game at all
Becchio Ran his socks challenged for everything never stopped trying
Beckford Might as well of stayed at home
We didnt battle enough and because beckford wouldnt run into space midfield had no where to play the ball so again too much hooooooooooof ball

If he didn't go down like a sack of spuds everytime he got near a Posh player, then he may have been able to get a shot or two on goal.

What are you talking about he battled harder than most of the other players he only went down when knocked down...

I must admit, he did battle hard when trying to get the ref to book our players.

What was it like to hear some fans sing for a change? Never have I been to a game with fans that made as little noise.
As for the game. I thought Robbo was good but got tired in the last 20. Beckford didn't have a great game but he seemed more frustrated than lazy as there were not any good balls in to him at all.
Delph looked alright to me, Becchio was much better in the first half.

i will give you ten english pounds if you can find another leeds fan who went yesterday who thought that beckford was more frustrated than lazy.
i think the cheers when he won his first header in the 92nd minute said it all.....
i sincerly hope he never ever plays like that again.
on a different note, howson and delph can't play together.

I didn't say he had a good game but he was chasing balls down in the first half. He is not a hoofball player, thats clear for all to see. He might have been sulking a bit in the second half, but when there was not ONE good ball played in I can see why.
He wasn't good yesterday but people still seem so quick to blame Beckford for all Leeds' problems.
Becchio also didn't win a header in the second half by the way.
Delph was deffo better than Howson who also didn't play well. Watching the Championship this morning it was clearly a hand ball for their first goal too.

beckfords been swapping a lot with robinson so quite often ends up wide. he's just not got the work rate that someone in that position (like robinson) needs.
i do give beckford a slating most of the time, but he frustrates the hell out of me. he's such a good player when he wants to be.....i don't see why he can't be like that all the time....
on a different note, howson was absolutely shocking. i didn't really understand why kilkenny was dropped in the first place, and can't see what howson brings to the team at the moment. yesterday needed a big performance from douglas and howson as everything was very much down the middle from them. howson genuinely didn't perform, tho i was surprised when mcallister replaced him with snoddy.
roll on wednesday - tho having said that, having seen rotherham play recently, i think we're in for a struggle. reuben reid is quick with good feet and alex rhodes likes to run at right backs (eek) tho becchio should make mince meat out of ian sharps. it'll probably be about 7-5....
