Hi Vince
I remember asking about beanie toys as they say no beans.
But apparently there are no beans in beanies any more just plastic.

I am sure there could only possibly be an issue with any toys stuffed with plant products - I guess they wouldn't like kapok, but when it comes down to it, how are they gonna know that one toy in the middle of that box (or in our case those boxes  ) of cuddlies contains kapok?
I wouldn't worry about it, certainly not unless there is a particular toy you feel is suspect - and we have in the past confirmed that beanies are stuffed with plastic beads.

As long as they are only stuffed with, non -natural materials, you will be ok, i have lost count of how many Manes and tails we have removed from rocking horses , because they have used real horse hair. And dont think you can sneek them in , the sniffer dogs are extremely keen. We had one dog that picked up 2 seed heads of maijuana, in a leather brief case..................mm

Re the Stuffing in Beanie Babies~
Well, I managed to find the article before but damned if I could this time.. I was trying to be clever so that I could quote the actual poly-(whatever scientific name)that is inside these little toys.....anyway, no worries - it is not beans!
Understuffed plush toys that usually have some polyfill inside to add the shape and detail of the Beanie. They contain PVC or PE pellets. Beanie Babies are approximately 8 to 10 inches long. For this site Beanie Babies refer only to the ones made by Ty Inc.Incidently, did you know that the study of TY Beanie Babies is Beanieology - any youngsters with a collection should look at this if they haven't already -
http://www.aboutbeanies.com/beanieology.html Ooooo found something with big, scientific wording -
PE means polyethylene pellets (beans). PE pellets are tiny plastic beans used to stuff the Beanie Babies®, this is what allows you to arrange the beanie in different positions. You can tell which ones your beanie has by looking at the tush tag.
PVC pellets which were also used to stuff beanies in the past (like PE pellets). This older type of pellet called polyvinylchloride are thought to be of higher quality when compared to PE pellets, and beanies with PVC pellets often sell for 2-3 times for on the secondary market. You can tell which ones your beanie has by looking at the tush tag.Well, we learn something every day! medium 114
