Hi, can we bring our DVD player with DVDs and be able to watch them on TV, or is it like videos, some do some don't work?

Yeah DVD's work fine in aus and vice versa. Players will work anywhere if they're multi regional! Mine is :D

If not multi region do it before you leave UK just google dvd multi region hacks and you should find a plethora (flash word for a lot ) of sites with the info you need ! I say do it before you come as I saw a guy advertising in the local foodland the other day that he would do it and prices started from $50 depending on the make and model & you can bet all he would do is the same as you can do for B :sign53: r all :huh:

your DVD player will work fine in oz even if its not multi regional.
Uk Region 2 dvds will work fine on your uk DVD player, Ozzy DVD's region 4 wont work on it.

You will aslo find most Oz T.V's do not have a SCART connection, so if your DVD player only has a Scart connection I wouldnt bother bringing it.

We paid $2,300 for out Telly and it has no Scart sockets :blink:

Dont worry about the scart connectors you can buy a scart to AV adaptor for a few dollars. The guy in radio rentals at tee tree plaza gave me a adaptor for free when i bought a cheap DVD player.

We didn't bring our DVD player over, we've just bought a cheap one here. All our DVDs from home work on it except 1 .... Thomas The Tank Engine!

When I try to play Thomas it just says wrong region, much to my little girls dismay :( , seems strange that all the others work though?

Suzanne, does your computer record DVD's? If you re-record that DVD on a PC it'll be fine. If you can't do it, get in touch and we can do it for you and make your little girl smile again :)
