Hey guys,

Just wondering for those in the trade of education (secondary) how you applied for your teaching posts? Did you do it from here in the UK?

Also history teachers what is the difference? Is it as skills based as we are moving well into over here? How do the kids respond?

And.... what are the kids like? I teach in London. :loopy:

Hi Fil
We've recently had quite a long thread about the complex procedure of finding work here as a teacher. It's certainly destined for FAQ but I don't know whether it's been moved there yet. You could try the FAQ Jobs area and also going back a few pages in the general forum. Also if I get a chance today, I'll have a look for it myself for you.

This may help but I don't think it was the thread that Elaine mentioned but you may want to contact the members involved for additional information

Fil, I've bumped up the one I was thinking of to the top - it's called TRB registration.

Fil,if you go down to page 11 of the general discussion posts, there is a very good post about finding work asa teacher in Adelaide. It was written by member Coulsonknight, whose husband is struggling to find work here.In the uk i think he was a headteacher and science teacher.

I am sure you will find it useful.
