Hi all

The in-laws are coming to stay soon :help: and need to hire a car. Have any of you guys who are already here got any recommendations. We used Koala cars which we were very happy with but father-in-law would like to compare some others :sigh: if we can get recommendations.

Do you know who they are flying into Adelaide with?

depending on which airline you go with you can get cheaper rates from some of the main players at the airport.

We flew with Virgin Blue from Sydney and got a good deal with Europcar. They also upgraded us for nothing as they didnt have any smaller cars available.

We used Brian Thredgold cars on the Brighton road, in Brighton itself I think or if not then just outside. It's a small business, very friendly, with minimal small print to the hire - eg, "bring it back with round about half a tank of petrol, no need to be exact so long as it's about right". Worth popping in and talking to them, don't know how their prices compare to others though.

Europcar, hired a focus for two weeks in QLD and it was sweet :D

BUT I had to ask for a focus or I might have got a lancer... :sign53: that!

I think they're in Coromandel Valley, though I could be wrong....

How much have you lot paid in the past for a hired car. Nothing special just a car that can fit a family of four into it!

I think our 20 year old enormous mitsubishi magna wagon was $45 per day if I remember rightly, from Brian Thredgold mentioned above.
