Hi all, finally online!! We arrrived 3 weeks ago and have done soo much. firstly when we arrived our priority was to find a rental as we only had the cabin at Christies Baech til 27th Dec. We were very very lucky indeed to get our rental, we had gone to a couple of opens, some not so nice and then one's that had about 12 couples lining up to have a look, we were getting a bit fraught to say the least when we knew that eveything would be shutting for xmas and needed to get something sorted pretty quick, well we view a rental, loved it put the apllication in and 3 hours later was told it was ours, panic over, sigh of relief :happy45:

We had a lovely xmas, bbq brekkie then down to the beach, boys loved it, said it was the best xmas ever :cool shake: then went to friends for xmas dinner, the works with Turkey done on the barbie but then insterad of sitting plonked in front of a tv with me quality street i sat out in the garden in the sun, relaxed, happy nad chatting and having fun :cool shake: then came a busy week of barbies (well someone gotta do it!!!) and then new year, great stuff, all outdoors surrounded by lovely people who make you feel soo welcome and at the same time have sooo much admiration for moving your whole life half way round the world, they love their country, are very proud and tell you what a great life you're gonna have :cool shake:

I started work the day before xmas eve, they are all soo lovely where i work and have welcomed me with open arms, i luv it and can't wait to get busier only doing a bit at the mo. Doug is still looking for work but now everything has returned to normal here (xmas shutdowns) he should have more luck now :sign03:

Boys can't wait to start school, well Adams looking forward to meeting other kids especially girls!!!!!

Bought a car last week, the newest car i've ever had, so i'm over the moon. Went to medicare and Centrelink last week got that sorted, opened the kids bank accounts this way if money is sent form UK for birthdays etc it'll be easier.

Have met some more Adbrits, finally putting names to faces, we all thought we'd look different!!!!! but bumped into Candice and Darren with the kids last week at the Plaza then they popped their heads in the salon where i work on Saturday it was great to see them, thanks Candice ;)

well that's about it for now, except to say, feel like we've been here longer, we luv it here and love the way of life, weather's great at the mo and never had such a good tan!!!!

Hi Jacqui, we're renting in Reynella only 5 minutes drive to get the boys to school so it'll be no trouble getting them to school then i'm 10 mins from work, it's all good!!!!!

Great post Dawn it all brings it back how special it is here especially love the bit about how the aussies love their country but are full of admiration for us all moving to the other side of the world as that is so true. :D
