Title: Aldgate living
Description: Is it as nice as it looks

shanedowd - January 11, 2006 02:56 PM (GMT)
Hi,

Having spent some time in the Adelaide area mainly with a view to finding somewhere to live I pretty much went off the idea of living within the city area or close subarbs.

I'm sure there are the usual pro's and con's to living a little further from the city and would likfe to hear anyone's opinions on the Aldgate area or area's in that general direction (schools, facilities, house prices, services etc....)

Aldgate is expensive and gets lots of rain.
But it is very nice, if i could afford it i would live there.

I've liked the look of it passing through, but with kids booked into schools that would be difficult if not impossible to reach from there, it's off our charts at the mo.

Shane,

This site may be of help with areas around Aldgate and the Adelaide Hills.

http://www.adhills.com.au/index1.html

As for schools in the area I believe there is masses of information in the FAQ section of this site.

Good luck with the research.

Jet :)
