Very happy gril today, as my baby's arrived safe and well in Adelaide. We can only highly recommend all the people involved in moving her over here.

For the record, the details are:

Shipping from UK : Golden Arrow shippers, Shropshire. They were excellent and made a very good crate for her to fly in - so good in fact that we're keeping it as a dog home. Their facilities are excellent and they make sure that everything is done for you. Only downside is they have no email or internet access (and I think no computer), so it's incredibly difficult to communicate with them once you have left the country.

Melbourne Spotswood quarantine station had been more than brilliant. Misty has a potential life-threatening condition which means that her diet must be strictly monitored and they looked after her so well. Her special food sent from the UK ran out and is not available here, so they put her on a special diet which their vet devised. Excellent personal attention and she is in fantastic condition, hair brushed and clean etc. Also very happy, not stressed at all, no sign of hardship whatsoever, she is extremely relaxed.

Jetpets brought her over to Adelaide. They were most efficient and very reasonsable and arranged her flight at very short notice, no problem at all. She arrived well and relaxed, so they must have done a good job.

All in all it cost:
1090 pounds for shipping
$753 for quarantine kennel fees etc.
$205 for flight from Melbourne to Adelaide.

She's a Yorkie, so not very big.
