Thought it was about time I posted that we are HERE!!!!! Finally!
It's not been without its pitfalls tho'(NOT of our doing!!). Basically, the accomm arranged for us was useless for a family of 5;2 adjoining bedsits basically on 1st floor, metal& concrete stairway and then 10 or so paces from the road!! It was clean etc just not conducive to family living for a month!!!! Anyways, we had to then use all our spendo to fork out for a rental(6wks bond +2 wks rent). The only place we could get immediately(woulda been homeless from 23rd Dec otherwise!!) that was not 1940's (or smelly!!) was actually in Mawson Lakes!!!! :P
I love it here! The kids are looking forward to ML School--George esp. as it's a blue uniform!!!--and they're settling in really well.
I've got a community job which works out fab, not only 'cos that's my preference but for when Andy goes back to the UK at the end of Feb(to sort out the house sale/sort our shipment/celebrate his 40th with the lads!!!).
BTW, he'd love a game of golf with some 'half-decent' players tho' he'd have to hire clubs atm!! Get him out of my way for a while at a w/end!!
We've been overwhelmed by the kindness of our neighbours here, who-when they realized the predicament we were in-have lent us a bed, suite, hoover, iron, dining table etc. We've been accepted into a circle of folk(friends/family of a neighbour) who we met at our 1st Barby on Sat night. Sooooo nice! Andy even had a job offer!!
Anyway,me, I'm just missin' my scrapbooking stuff!!
Will post again soon; only just got our modem, y'see & me & Dh are fighting over it!!
Take care; PM me if you're nearby/want to meet up etc
Cheers, Sharron

Wao, Congratulations. I hope I can move there this year.
What part of Adelaide is more comfortoble to live in?
Where can I get a map of Adelaide on the web?
Best Regards
Sharron
We'll have to get you into the craft club - is your scrapping stuff still on a boat somewhere?
Mine has been in and out of the box a few times but I've been too busy to get stuck since we arrived.
Glad to hear you like it at Mawson Lakes.
