Description: HALF A CENT A MINUTE TO CALL THE UK

blackcountrygirl - June 4, 2004 12:39 PM (GMT)
OK Guys

I didn`t believe this either, yes you can call the Uk, by phone for half a cent per minute and I`ve done it, the daybreak calling card costs $10 for 399mins if you buy one for $30 you get 10% extra. I got mine from the news agents at southgate plaza but you can get them from lots of places I believe. In the city I know you can get it from the newsagent at the top of Regent arcade just in Grenfell St, please try it out its not a scam. I can talk to my sister in the UK for an hour and it costs 30cents, Im having a ball its brilliant. This is the way to save money on your o/s phone calls. Not everyone has a puter
PP I think you`ll this one, oh and did you look at the entertainment book yet

How do these phone cards work then? Can you use it from your home phone? And can I phone a UK mobile using one? And what cost would that be if it's poss???

That is really good Sheila but like WW has asked how do they work?

I've changed to Talk Talk from Carphone Warehouse at the moment over in the UK and it is so much cheaper to phone anywhere than BT. To phone Australia it cost me something like 4 pence per minute but to call my sister in Cyprus it costs me 14 pence per minute - work that one out she's a lot closer to us than Australia!!!!!!

Look here for some options, htere are LOADS of these cards:

http://www.cardcall.com.au/main.html

Some have a connection charge then a smaller per minute charge, others have no connection charge but larger cost per minute. We use Go Talk, with no connection charge and can chat for a couple of hours for a dollar or two - can't remember precise details, they'll be on the site above.

You have to dial in some code no's from your ordinary phone before the person's no. you are calling. No idea whether you can phone mobiles Wizzy!

Sheila,
Does that one have a separate flat rate connection charge, or is it just the per minute charge?

blackcountrygirl - June 10, 2004 11:24 AM (GMT)
I think its just per minute Elaine

Sheila

I talk to my sister for about an hour and it costs about 30 cents, its really great you don`t have to clock watch, and then if I want to, I ring my friend too, its never been so good, just think 399mins for $10, does it matter if it costs a few cents for connection, I can wear that one

:thumbs up:
