Just found out that a friends aunty lives in Klemzig, just wondering if anyone had any info or opinions on this area as I cant seem to find much.
I know these discussions sometimes turn into North V South or My Areas Better Than Yours !! so if anyone wants to PM me please feel free :)

Klemzig is an area up and coming in the redevelopement stakes. Houses built between the 50's and 80's. Blocks are generally larger about quarter of an acre. A lot of the older properties are being bought and subdivided for two dwellings by owner investor types. There are loads of doer uppers if that's what your after. Klemzig is only 5kms in an easterly direction from the city. Easily accessibile by public transport and the O-Bahn service. Very close to linear park and the Torrens River with some magnificent views of the Adelaide Hills.

Jet :)
Hi,
We had government accommodation in Klemzig for 5 weeks. I would agree that it seems to be going through some sort of rejuvernation although parts of it are still pretty run down - boarded up shops, etc. Also the street we lived on was totally housing trust and therefore pretty grim.
It is very well connected though - O Bahn is great and very quick and cheap to the city. The park Jet was describing is lovely and you can walk/cycle from there to the city on pathways. We used Greenacres as our main shopping area which is only a couple of minutes drive. Huge Bi Lo and lots of other shops that you would use regularly like butchers, bakery, chemist, post office etc. Also Greenacres Library is good with free internet access.
Lots of cheap shops and warehouse places there and not far from North East road which is full of car dealerships!
Hope this helps,
Claire
