I think it is just less hassle to get the test done, it is a bitter pill, lets hope this the last stupid hurdle we have to do, although meds and pc are also still required leter on.

any one know where close to Manchester melissa can get this Test done?

Manchester uni do it £90 website www.ielts.org is the official site you will need to search for locations through menu on left.

thanks, great web site, it as a lot of info on the test and the ratings given to candidates.

Melissa is not happy about the prospect of doing this, but there will be a lot of posts appearing on here about this over the next few months, as people are told they have to do it to by the DIMIA.

they are getting really strict on the laungage issue, and non-english speaking country passport holders.

The ones recongnised as english speaking are, USA, UK, New Zealand, Canada (even the French Canadians?), Ireland.

perhaps this should go in the FAQ
