The government are currently looking into restricting IT workers migrating to Oz as there are too many being brought over, especially from India, and it is having adverse effects for Australia. The wages of IT workers are coming under pressure as the supply is becoming unsustainable and that means that the kids will not have as much incentive to study to work in IT. Plus the government have stats showing that many people who come over on an IT skilled visa usually end up doing something else anyway, but again I think this applies to those coming from third world countries. I imagine this is one of those meduim term problems, but just thought I'd bring it up

Is this the case for other jobs out in Oz or mainly for the IT market?
