Title: STNI question

terry&rose - June 18, 2004 08:28 PM (GMT)
HI

I sent a copy my husbands tra and his cv to SA asking to be considered for STNI. I understand the next part of the process is for them is to send a questionarie, but as I sent this nearly four weeks ago I was getting a bit concerned whether it normally takes this long to receive a reply. :(
Also is it the normal proceedure to send the first correspondence by mail or should I have sent it by email? I contacted them after two weeks to find out whether they had received our letter but only received a standard email them from saying if we hadn't heard from them in three weeks to contact them again. :sigh:

Hi Rose

We have just gone through the process ourselves...

You get intouch with the STNI, they then e-mail the questionnaire to you, you then send it back with the CV and TRA and house valuation, all together either by post, e-mail or fax......

Originally we sent ours by post as the fax number we had did not work, located the correct number faxed everything off (13 pages) advising it was also in the post, and we have heard straight away.. When they contact you after they recieve the questionnaire and other paper work they tell you wether they will sponser you if they say yes they will send a decleration form to be signed and witnessed and you then have 21 days to return it to them, again in which ever way you wish to.

If I am reading your post correct, you've sent your husbands CV and TRA off without completing the questionnaire, they all need to go together.

Here are the contact details for STNI that I used...just in case they are different to the ones that you have....

e-mail .... immigration.sa@state.sa.gov.au

fax ..... 0061 88 303 2266
0061 88 204 9244

phone ... 0061 22 204 9250

Hope this is of help.

Wendie

Hi Rose

We did all our correspondence with SA Immi Dept through email. After we originally submitted our visa application form to DIMIA the SA Imm Dept sent us an email asking if we would consider State Nomination. We emailed back saying yes and then emailed answers to all the questions they asked. We then got a telephone call at 6 am one morning from SA Immi asking further questions, then an email confirming they would sponsor us. After that we recived a letter in the post saying our sponsorship had been accepted and we should wait for a letter from the DIMIA requesting medicals.

Good luck...........
