Hi to all
On researching the suburbs something keeps drawing me to Aberfoyle Park, obviously I know nothing of this place so does anybody live in this area that can tell me how it is? Is Happy Valley and flagstaff hills similar? Are there shops and schools within reasonable distance? Is it pretty? Is there much crime or rough areas? Is there a good transport link to Adelaide?
I know there are a few questions here but it is the first place that I have felt the urge to live??
Cheers Andrea

There are lots of small estates scattered around Aberfoyle Park. Drive through Homestead Drive and Oakridge Road to get a feel for the area and the estates off these roads. The main plus for me is that a lot of the homes are new and you can get a 4-bed contemporary home for around $400000. It only takes me 25minutes to get to the City driving through Blackwood and down Old Belair Road (what a view) and it's about 10 minutes to Seacliff/Brighton beach.
The Hub should cater for your everyday needs and there are many schools to choose from.

Hiya
We live in Happy Valley, just on the border of Aberfoyle.. these suburbs just run into one another, same with Flagstaff. All I would say are very nice :)
The drive to city about 30 mins, 10 mins to Marion, 15 mins to beach.. all pretty good.
The Xpress bus to city, takes around 40 mins.. but the normal buses are a nightmare  nearly an hour, so if we dont wanna take the car, we dump the car at Coro train station ( 10 mins) and hop the train in. The public transport is the only downfall in these areas "IMO" but i am more than happy with our choice for the moment.
This area was NOT on my list originally.. and now after staying here, it makes the other suburbs we liked "look bland". I especially like the fact you can spot kangas from Happy Valley Drive :P

We came out here in January and we are renting in Aberfoyle Park - the boys go to school in Flagstaff Hill.
It is pretty, quite scenic in places, up in the hills and yet only 30 mins from the city. The amenities are good and there is a nice community feel. When we buy a house, we intend to buy in this area.
I remember asking the same question six months ago and it is definitely the case that you need to come out and see for yourself. Different suburbs offer a different feel and it is down to personal choice.
But living around here suits us fine :-)

Hi,
We moved to AP, completely by chance really.
It was on our list before we arrived but living a fair distance away ( Everard Park in the Meet and and Greet accomodation.) We were in a rush to get out and into our own rental.
We replied to a private ad in the paper and came for a look, we were very surprised as it had everything to offer that we needed.
High and primary schools 5 mins from each other, Scout hall, shopping centre, pub( priority)and quiet location with only 20 mins travel to work and 15 mins to beach. It really does have it all, for us anyway. We have even decided to build here( should be finished in about 8 weeks).
But at the end of the day, you really need to see for yourselves, what's OK for us, may not be the same for others. Good luck.
Lee and Alison.
