Title: OAA Hawthorn
Description: anyone seen/been there?

emily_and_matt - May 12, 2006 09:18 PM (GMT)
Hi all,

We are in Fiji right now, our last holiday before beginning our new life in Adelaide!!

We were turned down for OAA, but they emailed us a few days ago saying that a place had become available and so we took it. We were just informed that the place is on Sussex Terrace in Hawthorn.

Has anyone here lived there or know how many bedrooms, etc. it has? We told OAA that we won't have a car, so I am hoping that it's near some sort of tranist.

Any thoughts are most welcome!

See you on May 17!!!

Cheers,

Emily and Matt

Lucky you! Hawthorn is a very good area. You are very close to the city and in Sussex Terrace you are a hop skip and a jump away from either Hawthorn station or Unley Park station, depending where in the road you will be. I have no idea about the unit itself though. If you let me know what the number is, I can have a look for you. I love driving round exploring :D

As Annette has said, it's a well-to-do area of Adelaide, and very convenient to the city and public transport. Hope the house will suit your needs.

Thanks for the photos! We made a mistake, it's actually ana apartment building a couple of blocks down the road.

The outside of the building is a little old and unkempt, but inside it's a 2 bedroom unit with all the basic furnishings we need!

It looks sad inside because there is absolutely no color, except for the chairs in the lounge. But we're going shopping today to get some more basics and liven the place up a bit.

All in all, we are really pleased with the place and the rent is less than $150/wk. How and where can you possibly beat that so close to the city?

:yeehah: Hi Emily and Matt.

Welcome to Adelaide!

Yes, I did wonder about the house  . I saw the apartment block, I know which one you mean, I though that might be it.....

The location is absolutely brilliant, isn't it? Right on a bus route, as well. And the price is just ridiculous, especially for that area. ;)
