Title: Not appearing when I log in
empyrean - July 20, 2006 04:46 PM (GMT)
Hi
I use the log me in automatically function but lately I've noticed that I don't appear in the list of members currently using the site. If I log out and log in again I appear but only for that session. I haven't selected the privacy option. Any reason why this is happening?
Thanks
Chris

I would hazard a guess at a cookie problem......try clearing them and see what happens .........(this is really about the limit of my technical know how....anything further, ........dropping a pm to delboy is what I tend to do :D )

Could be a number of things, but the most likely is a problem with the 'cookie' the file kept on your PC that keeps track of your settings.
Try the following
Go to the AdelaideBrits opening page (click on AdelaideBrits at the top left of the page)
Right at the bottom of the opening page you'll see a link that says 'Delete cookies set by this board' Click on this.
This will log you out. Log back in, ensuring that the 'Don't add me to the active users list' box is not checked
Select 'remember me' if that's what you'd usually do.
Let us know if it works
Perry

I agree with all the above (cookie problem)
Also if you are using Firefox just make sure it hasnt been configured to delete cookies when the broweser is closed.
Perry and Andys tips should sort you out for I.E though ;)

Hey guys thanks for your quick responses. Deleting the cookies has worked - yippee!!
Don't know why I fret about these things but I didn't like thinking I was on as an anonymous user....
Thanks again
Chris
