Thinking about a jet-ski in the summer and need to get my boat liscence.
Any idea about how hard it is and how much it costs ??? :D

hi...around 25 bucks or so to sit then it then its about 50 if you pass ...Pretty easy..just revise the book and use common and you'll be right..few tricky questions but its similar to the car test..have to get first section alll perfect then onto the next 0r so questions..think from memory you have to get 32 right..i had one to spare!!!!!......god luck

my brother and sister in law have bought thier own boat and it did not take very long to get the boat license,s.
put it this way if my sister in law can pass it must be easy.

like the car licence, i think you can have a mock test on their web page, no i don't know what the address is, where's JET????

Okay, okay I hear you, here is the link where you can get all the info and even pratice the theory test online

The application cost to sit the written examination is $29.75, for each test taken and the Boat Operators Licence is $28.75 a one off payment and the licence never has to be renewed.

BTW don't worry too much about passing the test as I did it first time round! In saying that the other half still won't let me play captain very often on his boat :lol:
