Hi all, :D
Hopefully we will be in aberfoyle area in january :P and aberfoyle park high school looks like the one my then 13 yr old girl will go to due to the good reports it has.
Are there any other girls that age starting in jan?
And are there any other kids who would like to give there personal views on the school as my daughter is naturally apprehensive about it all. :o
thanks

Hi
My son Started at Aberfoyle high School last week and so far everything is fine, :)
All the kids have been friendly.
I was worried sick the week before he started, but it seems it was all for nothing up to now, so keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way.

I will ask my daughter to PM you. She used to be at Reynella East High School and was so miserable but loves going to school now she's at Aberfoyle High. A friend has a 13 year old daughter there as well, so I'll get her views too.

Got a son who started school at APH last Monday in yr 8. He seems to have settled in well. Moans about the homework, he gets more than UK particulary Maths.
As far as I can tell it seems a good school, although its early days.
His 'buddy' assigned to him on day 1 was from England and had only been at school here for 4 months, so again it seems theres no problem being a pom, although his spanish teacher asked who he would be supporting in the Ashes. And if he gave the wrong answer he was threatened with dismissal...although im sure he was kidding.
Lots of the Kids travel in from afield, but secondry schools seem far between down in the south..but thats my opionion.

my daughter is in year 8. she likes the school and loves the after school activities such as surfing lessons and netball club. She has heaps of mates and has about the same amount of homework as she had in uk. she gets the usual name calling about being a pom but not that it worries her, and the kids like her accent.
