Bicycle Express @ 124 Halifax St. (in city centre) are pretty decent.

I've bought a few things from it and they seemed reasonably priced. I can't say how the new bike costs compare with other places but they did have a sale on last week when I was in on new bikes..no doubt discounting before 07 models coming onto the market. The do new bikes of all descriptions.

There is another bike shop just round the corner from it and for the life of me I can't remember its name. I haven't actually used it but when I was in it had a sale on as well. If I remember I'll post it.

website is: http://www.bicycleexpress.com.au/

Hawthorn is an inner south eastern suburb. Nice leafy suburb within a 10-15 minute commute to the CBD dependant on time of day. Train station in the suburb and plenty of bus transport within close proximity.
