Is a relatively new suburb (maybe 10 - 15 years old) that still has a lot of opportunity to build in the southbank development, there is obviously an older side to this area, and some of the houses there tend to be a bit cheaper as they may need upgrading. Is an affordable area to live, personally I think it is quite well located, as in not too far to the beach, marion, city, mclaren vale etc. It does seem to be maturing into a nice place (by which I mean no longer looks as sparse as it did) We have looked around Woodend Primary and were very impressed, there is a 'zone' to get in there, but the head told us it is becoming more relaxed. Didn't look around Sheidow Park Primary (I think it is called).
We would live there.

Hi Lee and Clare
Sheidow Park is opposite Hallett Cove. In addition to the public primary schools there is also a Catholic private school. Pupils from the public primaries go on to R-12 in Hallett Cove, I think that's around year 7.
We looked at a rental there which was gorgeous but unfortunately we didnt get it. It's a nice area and as mentioned, there are new houses being built and a lot of the area does look pretty shiny and bright!

I like Sheidow park althought i do prefer the older, more established part.
When we first arrived, we looked a the new part, where plots of land are still for sale, but didn't like it...that's just our personal opinion.
I don't know anything about the schools though....
Also Trott Park is a nice suburb.....

We rented in Sheidow for 2 months when we first arrived, knew it was just short term so managed to get the children into Hallett Cove R12, we were also told Seacliff is a secondary school for Sheidow Park as well.
Closest shops are in Hallett Cove which is really just over the road to some parts of Sheidow Park.

Hi there, Hallett Cove, Sheidow Park and Trott Park are all really nice areas. We rented in Hallett Cove when we 1st got here and loved the area. Our kids go to Hallett Cove East which we have found to be a great school.
When it came to buying our own place we decided to move over the road to Sheidow Park. Hallett Cove is great but is that bit more expensive (i should know i work for Ray White Real Estate formy sins) You can pick up alot more house for your money across the road. We picked the Southbank Estate because the houses are newer and had the things we wanted. The older part of Sheidow Park, the other side of Landers Road, is fine and you tend to find that they are a little bit cheaper again.
Just a point to mention R12 in Hallett Cove is outside the catchment area for Sheidow and although there is a good chance your children will be able to get in it is definatley not guaranteed
Hope this helps a little bit!
