From debbie :P

Andy
I'm sure they would be Debbie, you just have to contact the 'trade association' affliated with your degree. I have just completed a law degree and have been in contact with the Law Society of SA to ascertain what I have to do to gain accreditation for my degree. All very straightforward.
What degree are you doing/have you done?
Julia :)

Hi Debbie
When we first arrived in Adelaide I received a letter from a Coordinator of the Settlement and Orientation Service of the Adelaide Institue of TAFE. It was a welcome letter offering help in accessing the services we would need for getting Driver's Licences, Health Insurance, Health Services, Tax, Public Holidays and a variety of other services.
Another service they offered was the Overseas Qualification Unit which assess your qualifications against Australian standards and gives you a formal statement of the assessment. It gives you advice about what you need to do in order to be able to use your qualifications to work in Oz.
A quote from the info sheet:
"The Overseas Qualifications Unit service provides advice on the assessment and recognition procedures for all overseas qualifications; a written comparative assessment advice of overseas obtained qualifications; information and referral advice, where relevant, in relation to appropriate assessing authorities and profession/licensing bodies..............."
Their address is
