Title: Dog-friendly beaches...
Description: And where are they...?
paul - October 13, 2006 02:37 AM (GMT)
This will be the first summer we have been able to let our puppy off her lead on the beach. :D
Rosie LOVES the sea and running round like the mad cocker spaniel she is, but soon the time restrictions will be in force on our 'usual' beaches. :(
Does anyone know of any beaches where we can let her off the lead during the day? Near Kingston - Glenelg if possible, but totally willing to travel!
Thanks,
Caroline.

I was there this afternoon !!! Walked from the jetty up to The Seacliff Hotel for lunch and a Beer. Did you see all the dolphins ??? :o

We were right of the jetty and yes I saw 3 dolphins. :)
You could have joined us for sandy sandwiches but didn't have any beer :loopy:

We started at the Seacliff and walked to the jetty and then turned round and went all the other way.. I had 2 annoying children with me and wouldn't want to spoil your picnic on the beach.

Are there any beaches where dogs aren't allowed, not that I don't like dogs but I do like parts of our beaches around here where dogs are not allowed.

Okay I fess up, we got a a very cute ball of fluff from a breeder in Woodcroft because of low allergy factors (my excuse and I'm sticking to:rolleyes: it)

Thanks everyone, I might pop along to O'Sullivan, although thanks to Marco's fab link I now have a few alternatives! Thank you so much Marco. :D
AreWeThereYet...yes, we normally take Rosie along Kingston Beach/Seacliff/Brighton and it's lovely. The problem arises after the clocks go forward because then dogs are only allowed to roam off leash before 10am and after 8pm, which is not ideal when the kids want to go straight after school! :( I guess that's when the pool comes into its' own!
And we've just got a new puppy too..a Maltese X. She's really cute, but looks a bit like a furry glove puppet.
:bouncy: Caroline.
