It looks like DIMA have changed the requirements for full time work to allow for individuals to have 2 part time jobs as long as they both add up to 35 hrs in total.

Not backdated but effective from 7th November.

From 7 November 2006 the Minister approved a change in policy to allow SIR (Skilled Independent Regional (Provisional) subclass 495) visa holders to fulfil the 12 months (35 hours a week) full-time requirement by work in up to 2 concurrent part-time jobs, provided that the work is in regional Australia or a low population growth metropolitan area.

This policy change is not retrospective and applies only from 7 November 2006
