Last time I went to the UK, in 2000, I got duty free liquor (Chivas Regal) and smokes at Adelaide Airport BEFORE I went thro' Customs into Australia. I found it reasonably priced compared to other places overseas.
Maybe others can quickly post replies on this topic of more recent experiences, since mine was 4 years ago, but I beleive Adelaide Airport is still selling duty free stuff.

I'll have 200 B & H and a bottle of Bowmores Single Malt please!

Hasnt anyone told you of the new law that has been passed and they no longer allow smoking in Australia. HA Ha
Tough luck you will have to give up

Beware what ciggies you buy at the Asian duty free shops though. We bought what i thought was 200 B&H at Kuala Lumpur airport, which were dirt cheap and they turned out to be the nastiest smokes i ever had. Nothing like the real ones.

:dancing dog: Thanks for the advice Nicki as i would most likely to have fallen for that, will you be at the gathering on sun 22.
Arlene i will do what i can but i am not sure of duty free allowance.
Can't wait to meet you, see you soon, two days and counting
Cheers Nicci

No worries Nicci
Yes i should be there at the meet up, but on my own as usual as Bill is working AGAIN!!... i find it really uncanny that everytime we have a party or socil event, its on the weekends he has to work. Never mind, i'm sure i will still enjoy meeting the newbies.

What I remember, you are only allowed to bring 200 cigarettes into and out of the country and if you don't smoke B&H, Dunhill or Marlborough - get them in England as they won't do your brand over here - I used to smoke Embassy and thats not over here.

You can get quite a few British brands here Michelle, but only at the smokemart places. I get my Silk Cut from there. You will rarely find it sold anywhere else though.
