Does anybody out there know of any Dobermann breeders in or around Adelaide?
We show our Dobes. over here and were wondering what the show circuit was like over there.

Hi Montia,

A couple of us here have pups and go to dog training classes at the moment. I have seen a couple of people in the advanced club have dobermans. I will ask themn next week. We dont go till Monday, but i'll try to remember. If they dont know, i am sure the lady who runs the club will.

Are the breeds of dogs, that go to the classes you go to, much the same as they are in the UK?

Yes the breeds are pretty much the same, although theres a fair few of the "designer" cross breeds about schnoodles and labradoodles. People here seem a little less snobbish about dogs. There areplenty of cross breeds at puppy classes, but i like that. You get some lovely looking unusual dogs. Of ocurse theres still all the usual pedigrees, but i love the diversity.

I spoke to Karen at our dog club today. She has given me some web addresses you might be interested in (but me being me, has left them in the car and i not dressed ot go out htere tonight!!)

She says theres plenty of dogs shows and clubs around and if ou have good show dogs they'll be most welcome for breeding.

Just getting geared up for Crufts over here at the moment (not that you would think it as they are all covered with mud from head to foot after their walk and are looking very smug about it too!!)
Still thats the beauty with Dobes no long coats to worry about.
