HI JACKIE,
WYNN VALE LOVELY, NEWER SUBURB THAN FAIRVIEW AND A BIT MORE EXPENSIVE. HAD TROUBLE WITH WYNN VALE PRIMARY - LOST MY 5 YEAR OLD 1ST DAY OF TERM!!!!!
FAIRVIEW PARK LOVELY, SLIGHTLY CHEAPER HOUSES THAN WV AND PRIMARY SCHOOL MUCH NEARER TO OLD SCHOOL IN UK - ONLY 180 KIDS. DID YOU SEE GMTV IN ADELAIDE? THE ALLAN HOUSE IS IN FAIRVIEW PARK - TREE LINED STREETS, PRETTY AND QUIET. FAIRVIEW PARK IS 5 MINUTES DRIVE FROM WYNN VALE, SNUGGLED IN FOOTHILLS AND SURREY DOWNS IS BETWEEN THE 2.
HOPE THIS HELPS, ;) MICHELLE.

Hi Jackie

I would recommend any of theres areas to move to as they are all very nice.

Fairview Park is the furthest out, the schools seem good and Banksia Park high School has an international teaching program that some of the private schools use. The average house price seems to be between $275,000 and $330,000 though we did look at a place that had 5 beds and a pool, triple garage for $440,000. Banksia Park would be worth a look also.

Surrey Downs again is a nice area, though I wouldn't recommend living too close to the shopping centre and the Golden Tavern. Local freebie paper said last week the pub had applied to extend its opening hours and have live bands. Neighbours have been campaining for some time to stop the noise when people leave. The water park is just 5 minutes down the road and the Tea Tree Plaza which is massive at the end of Golden Grove Road. You have 3 primary schools to pick from, Surrey Downs, Redwood Park and Ridgehaven. In fact I would suggest you check out Redwood Park and Ridgehaven as well. There is a wide range of houses, new and old. Prices range as before.

Wynn Vale is a much newer suburb and more expensive. Modbury Heights which is close by is slightly older and can be cheaper. Wynn Vale Primary is the local school also Keithcott Primary but there are at least 3 private schools within 5 - 8 minutes drive. Kings Baptist, Pedare Christian College and St Francis Xavier (sp?)
Houses at Wynn Vale comprise of mainly 3 - 4 bed bungalows, town houses and a few very big houses. I think Wynn Vale is the biggest surburb out of the 3 but I expect someone can put me right if I'm wrong. There is a small shopping centre called Sunnybrook but Golden Grove Village is at the top of the hill on Golden Way and has every type of shop for all your immediate needs.

Hi,

We live in Fairview park and can say havent had any problems at all. My daughter goes to Fairview Park primary which as said before is quiet small, but i have found it easier that way to make friends. The blocks in Fairview park can be quiet big as it is an older suburb. There is also a big golf course (if that is of interest) Banksia park, redwood park all nice places. We have found all our nighbours very helpful and friendly. Anything else you may want to know just shout.

Jo

Wynn Vale's the best, not because we live there but because it is the best.

hi Jackie,

We live in a rental in Wynn Vale and have been here since Dec 06.
I think Jo described the area perfectly, its very leafy here and has a good feel factor about the place.

Our daughter has justed turned 5 and has been at school since the end of January.

We decided on Pedare as her older brother goes to the senior School.

The school is private and the fees are reasonable, she absoulutly loves it there.

There is only 19 children in her reception class and she is doing really well.

One thing we both noticed about the children that we have met is they all seem so confident in themselves, and this is in evidence at a young age.

There are 2 other state schools that share the campus at Pedare, Gleeson and Golden Grove.

All the pupils you see from any of these schools seem well behaved.

Im sure what ever school you choose your children will be OK.

Good Luck

Jim
