Have found a place on Sheriffs road that make kitchens to measure, but they don't fit it, they say average kitchen between 3 to 4k, we are getting quote from them back next week so will let you know.

Ours is just going in thanks to Harvey Norman Kitchens in Norwood. It's a complicated building job as well as kitchen replacement and some of the organising for that has been problematical, but having got that out of the way.... the kitchen (so far, it's not quite finished yet...) is fantastic and every single tradesman has turned up as expected and done an A1 job.

They probably won't be the cheapest, but you don't have to go over the top either, and they do organise all the trades so you don't have to run around doing that yourself if that's not your thing.

We have orderer ours from kit-ezi on Richmond Road. Very good quality with lots of 'extras' options. We have also organised a kitchen fitter. This all comes to $5600. Harvey Norman quoted $7500. (And it's not the largest of kitchens!)

We got our kitchen from Kit-ezi as well would use them again. the quality of the kitchens are very good. We got quotes from a few places and for the amount of cupboards we got they were the best.

I don't know if this will help, we have purchased a new kitchen to be fitted sometime in June. The one that I am taking out is good quality and is only about five years old. Our kitchen fitters have told us to advertise it for $500 and for the purchaser to rip out and takeaway.

I would have been happy to stick with the kitchen in place, but my wife is wanton human spending tornado.

We had ours done by Wallspan about 2yrs ago ,prob not the cheapest but they organised everything , were really quick and we have had no probs .

Its a tiny kitchen and needed replacement appliances for everything (which bumped the cost up) but they were able to design it so we have an amazing amount of storage and workspace.

$500 dollars for your old Kitchen,is that with appliances ?
The reason i ask is we have a kitchen that is a lot older, but in reasonable nick. And have been told we could get about $1000 although that was by a salesman.

ps my better half is also on a mission to empty our account and spend our inheritance even though we wont get that for a few years :sign03:   .

We also got ours from Kit-Ezi and fitted it ourselves. The units went together very easy, would recommend them.

Hi,

We just need new benches ,the cupboards are ok .

We've just started on the hunt of benches and I can't believe the prices of them :sign68:

We have a mahogony kitchen and I really like it just want to change the doors and the drawer fronts. Would this be able to be done without a new kitchen? the layout and everything is fine just want plain doors instead of the country cottage style with grooves in!!

The McGintys - April 23, 2007 09:50 AM (GMT)
IKEA sell just the doors and fronts, also do a good range of handles.

Also do work tops, some of them are pretty cheap looking, but the solid oak ones are ok.
