Hi Guys, just thought i would mention that Hub Fine Foods Cafe, near Charcoal Chicken in Aberfoyle Park has recently been revamped decor wise and there are going to be a range of new dishes on the menu introduced.
It has been taken over by a lovely uk couple from Hull, who have extensive experience in the catering industry.
They have put so much effort in already i just thought i would let everyone know so if you are in the area why not pop in.

Hi Sue
Did it used to be run by a Greek? I think I might know the place, have to give them a try!

Elaine, yes,Ray who used to run it was lebanese and very chatty.
I think the new couple are hoping to be a little more adventurous with the menu,as he is a chef.

Hi Guys i mentioned it the other day i know ,but the Fine food Cafe at Aberfoyle Park yesterday started doing sunday roast specials. For anyone who has missed a decent sunday lunch, yorkshires to die for, roast potatoes etc ,you will not be disappointed.
I dont know the owners but they sure deserve to do well with the effort they have put in.

Hi Sue
Took your suggestion re the Hub Cafe. Sadly missed the Sunday roast this week but managed to get a lovely Hot Roast roll on Monday...... Will try for next weekend. Certainly friendly people there.
Another place I love to get takeaway is the WOODCROFT PIZZA & RIBS on Sherebrooke Blvd at Woodcroft....... pizza that my family love (and not rubbish like in the name sake place in Italy) I think the chap who runs it is Hayden, not English but still a very nice man.
Good to see a local forum and will have to spread the work amongst some other country folk..

We went in there last week.... Friday to be precise. They lady ( i guess was the owner as she had an accent like mine) really looked after us! the food was great and she gave the kids baby chinos (sp) and chock bars. They also provide an Easel and chalks for the kids... Just wish they had child proof fridges as my little one was trying to get to the drinks.... oh and they have DOCTOR PEPPER!!!!! They prices are very good as well
Will certainly be going back!
