In light of just having bought a house there I was wondering if anyone had an experiences , good or bad, of either the kindy or primary at Hawthorndene. Would love some info if any one has any. Please feel free to pm me if you'd prefer,

Hi, my daughter goes to the Primary school and we are more than happy with it. It has a lovely community feel and encourages parent participation. Why don't you go for a visit, that way they can answer any specific questions and you get a feel for the place. We have never used the kindy but it has an excellant reputation, I know of several families who drive past other kindies to attend.

Congrats on buying a house!! Hawthorndene kindy is very nice and has a good reputation. The women who runs it is amazing! You wont go wrong putting Ollie in there. Good luck with the move.

Spoke to Karen last night - was hoping to be back in Adelaide but has decided to stay out in Norway for the next year as planned. They seem to have visited most of Europe now! (she claims it is chepaer to get on a plane for the weekend than stay in Norway for the weekend)

Thanks for the positive info about the kindy and school both of you. I'm going to arrange to go around kindy tomorrow hopefully and then will call in at the school to see about looking round with boz. You have certainly allayed some fears though.

Lovely area and primary school. We visited it in Feb 2006. My husbands cousins wife works at the primary school as an accounts type person and gave us a really good look around. It felt very friendly and seemed to cover alot of really interesting topics for the children. The playgrounds & play equipment are fab. If we had emigrated, it would have been top of our list. Our kids loved it alot too. Lovely leafy area, a bit of a concern with fire risk times, but i'd be happy there!
