Title: Aldinga Beach/Silver Sands Beach

The beach called Silver Sands at Aldinga Beach is one of the few beaches in Metropolitan Adelaide that allows you to still drive your car on (for a small fee during summer unless you live in Onkaparinga Council area). It is a beach white sandy beach which is a few Kms long and has pleanty of room for everyone.

It's great to be able to park on the beach and not have to lug all the stuff from a carpark miles away.

But whatever you do on Silver Sands, if you need to turn your car to face the opposite direction, don't do it by driving in a circle. This is called "Doing Circle Work" and you will get told off for it and if you don't grovel enough, a big fine!

You have been warned!!!!

LOL We did only go round in ONE circle, and it was pee-ing with rain, and empty beach - all except for the beach inspector or whoever she was in the car a long way from us at the time!!

She even took photos of the tyre marks going round in a circle, but because of something technical with the car and far too complicated for li'l ol' me, the wheels didn't even slide outwards as we went round so honest, guv, we weren't being irresponsible hoons....!!!!

Perhaps we should have done a very careful three point turn??

Anyway, she let us off with a slap on the wrist - otherwise it would have been something like an $80 fine... :sign68:
