Westpac have opened a westpac retail branch in Seaford.
Just wanted to say I get excellent service there and they really go out of their way to advise and help migrants.
I was really surprised that apart from one employee they are all uk migrants themselves, the branch manager Joe is from Liverpool and has even put up a Little Britain sign in the shop.

i tried opening a westpac account online..here in the uk but they wouldnt let me!!! they said i have to do it 30 days before entering australia.
is this the norm????

Opened a saving account in the city whilst on a reccie a year before I came over.
Other people have opened them with westpac online with no probs, have another go at opening one

We have a West Pac account but it was opened via HIFX. in the UK.
We used them to transfer our funds over to OZ.
Have found them very helpful and have opened business accounts and taken out house and car insurance through them.

We opened our account via HIFX too - you have to post off the forms to London and they do the rest - got our account numbers in a week.

Hi there - we called them and opened our account from the Uk too with no problem. We dont intend travelling until the end of October. Very nice they were too :D
