We bought a car from Wayne Phillis Kia. They are on the Main South Road at Reynella which is much quieter than delaers nearer the city and easy to park outside. The salesman Charlie Moore and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and helpfull. We can definately recommend them. They also have a Ford dealership at nearby Christies Beach. They also sell used cars.

It's quite difficult finding and buying a car in a short space of time when you land, especially with all the other things you have to do, the kids in tow and you want a small car and he wants a truck....

We visited a lot of dealers around Adelaide, most of them seemed fine and friendly but often on busy roads without much parking. Most will lend you a car while they get yours registed so try and get a hire car that can be returned early.

Used cars don't need MOT's in SA and we heard many have outstanding finance on them so we took the low risk option and bought new. We didn't intend to buy new but used cars are expensive in comparison anyway.

To add another car dealer recommendation - I would add Hamilton Holden at Somerton Park - Jason Webb, he was really good to deal with, not pushy just helpful and got our new car ready for us in a couple of days. great to deal with.

We used Wayne Phillis in Reynella too - Luke was our salesman and we cannot fault him. Our car however, has had a few little hiccups so we have been in and out with the service department there too and Mike is really lovely and could not be more helpful.
