Title: Great Indian Food
W.W - October 11, 2007 10:17 PM (GMT)
If anybody in the Blackwood area is looking for great authentic Indian food I would recommend trying 'Skewers' on Main Road, Belair. Not to be confused with the other Indian restaurant opposite the petrol station.
An Indian lady has recently bought 'Skewers' which was a Greek restaurant and take-away. While they still serve Greek food, they also have everything you would see in an Indian restaurant back home.
You wouldn't even know that it's there from the road, as it's tucked away in the corner of a parade of shops. Once you go in there is a lovely seating area at the back.
Highly recommended.

Thats great, we arrive in Adelaide on the 6th November and love Indian food! Also hoping to get a rental in that area, so pleased to hear about Skewers! Thanks for the tip!

Two of my favourites:
Beyond India on O'Connel St, North Adelaide
And Jasmine in the CBD (in the city to you and me)
Not cheap but probably two of the best.

My favourite curry here in Adelaide is from an AdBrit chef!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before you all rush out trying to find his restaurant, alas he doesnt have one...
Elfed is a Welsh chef whose Indian cooking talents are superb. Unfortunately you have to become friends of the SHERGO's to sample this fantastic restaurant quality food. He makes onion bhajis to die for, and his Chicken Korma, Beef Madras and Chicken Tikka Massala are first class (so much so my hubby would happily give up his engineering job and open a restaurant 'up north' with Elfed - but back to the real world..)
Waiting for our next invite Tracy and Elfed...
