Hello all (my first post!)
I've recently discovered this excellent forum and found it very friendly and full of useful advice.
Simon and I have had a STNI visa since 2005 (and have visited Adelaide once and loved it), but we are still not sure about taking the final plunge to emigrate. Or, rather, Simon is less sure than me...mainly worried about job prospects.
We are coming over to Oz to try and make the final decision in January and I thought it might really help us if we could have a chat (over a few beers??) with folks who have already gone through the experience.
We will be renting a campervan (travelling initially from Melbourne) so plan to be quite mobile and visit the parts of Adelaide that have appealed to us in the past. We are particularly interested in the Port Noarlunga area as a possible place to live.
Simon is a mechanical engineer and I teach computer classes in adult education.
We are in our early 40s and have no kids, so for a comparable viewpoint we'd love to meet up with similar couples, but happy to drink with anyone!
We'll be in the Adelaide area from 18th - 31st Jan, so if anyone is willing to meet up with a couple of strangers and tell us your story, we'd really be pleased.
Thanks!
Karen and Simon Bourn

Thanks Debs, I did actually try to access the new site yesterday but I just kept getting error messages. I assumed it wasn't up and running yet. I've just tried again now though and it loaded OK.
Thanks to the two people who PM'd me to arrange a meet. I'm just replying to the messages now.
Can't wait for our visit!

Paul and I have just moved into our new build at Seaford Rise, not far from there, so we can meet you too.
Happy Christmas x
