Having watched a few programmes about oz on TV, I've seen housing estates with a community area bbq and swimming pool, or some situated on golf courses with swimming pools etc. where each household has to pay towards the upkeep of the community areas. Do you have places like that in Adelaide. And if so, are there any good ones around and are they nice places to actually live in.

As well as considering having a house built, I quite like the idea of the above. Especially as we haven't got any family or friends in oz, I thought it might be a good way of meeting and socialising with your neighbours.

Sounds like your hoping for a real community???? ;) Which is the life style we're hoping for. Although we have my husbands Aunt and Uncle I am hoping to become involved with people asap.

I don't know if t's exactly what your looking for but when we visisted last year we looked around Mawson Lakes which is a masive development north of Adelaide about another three years worth of building.

I don't have any more details than that unfortunatly.

I think the complexes you refer to are more common in areas like brisbane and the Gold coast.
I don't know of any in Adelaide
