Title: Sydney
pickledpossum - March 13, 2004 10:26 AM (GMT)
Hi peeps,
Just got back from a 4 day trip to Sydney with my family. It confirmed what i had already thought.
I think Sydney is a fantastic place, vibrant, exciting and HUGE!!...but it made me realsie i could never live there. It feels just like London in many ways with beaches and warmer weather. I wanted to get away from inner city living. With the new airline ticket price wars looming, i think it is a great idea to hop in and out of Sydney for a break, but Adelaide is definitely where my heart is now.
Anyone going for a trip should go to the Sydney Aquarium and also spend an afternoon on Bondi beach watching the hunky surfer dudes doing their thing...!!!
Blonde bronzed and mucles all over....... :medium smiley: :bouncy: :bouncy:

He is a bit of an animal after all
Sounds like you had a good trip. Is the aquarium the one where you are allowed to get into the proper diving gear and swim with the sharks etc? I remember seeing one on one of the Life down under episodes that looked a really good place to visit.
My hubbie loved Bondi beach when he stayed there. He insists that it was the waves that were good but I think it was the fact that he seems to have a lot of topless women in the pictures that he had taken!!!! ;)

Hi Sasha..yes had a great trip thanx..its a wonderful city. I HATE driving there though!!!
The aquarium doenst allow people to dive, but it was well worth a visit to walk through the perspex tubes under water, which meant you felt as though you were in the water with the sharks and other weird and wonderful creatures.
Hi Mayten.. the throat is nearly all gone..still a little croaky but i'm fine. I didnt go to the docs, but thanx to Wizzy i now know where to go!!

Good to hear you had a good time PP, my in-laws visit us next month after doing 10 days visiting Sydney, Great Barrier Reef and Ulluru. They'll have seen more of Australia than us and we live here. Oh well my kitchens got to come first then maybe we can start planning long weekend get-a-ways and as you say with the looming ticket war it's going to be in our favour.
