Title: Campervans/ Motorhomes
Description: Buying one

To any Adelaidians that know of any good car/ caravan yards that sell motorhomes. We have a friend whos coming over from Espana, Tarifa to be exact and wants to buy one to tour around Australia.

I've been to camperagents at Parafield Gardens, full of poo. Theres another called Safari campervans at mitchell Park, anyone passing let me know roughly how many for sale as its a fair way to travel from up here at Modbury.

Also another one at St Marys called Skippy Winnebago Campervans, same deal, if anyone passes.

Thanks, Steve and Lynsie :)

Steve and Lynsie,

Did you ever manage to find any more info on campervan/motorhome sales?

We have a motorhome here in the U.K. and it will be a real wrench having to sell it when we move Adelaide.

Have your friends now arrived from Spain?

Yep, arrived okay, found a campervan not in Adelaide but Sydney, theres more choices in other States. they pick it up next Tuesday and drive it over. They will have to get it examined here by transport SA, and then they are off for 2 years travelling around windsurfing!!

Trouble is that i want one now, just like theirs a 4 berth Winnebago, what a way to go!!

Thanks Steve and Lynsie,
Do you know the approx prices over in Aus for "RV's"?

Do you know if Fiat operate over there?

Are your friends only there for 2 years and then heading back to Spain? Their adventure sounds idylic.

They are here for good and replying to the cost, well anything from about $10,000 to $100,000 plus. It depends on what you want. Regarding Fiats ,no, wouldn't last out here. Guess the most popular that we've seen are Ford, Mercedes and Iveco truck van chassis with the living bit built after.

Corner of sturt and marion rd has a camper centre...I know some people in the UK that bought a converted bus and travelled round oz then shipped it back to their garden in cuckfield, west sussex where it hasn't turned a wheel since. Madness!!!
