Title: Mental health nursing

jayne & paul - March 26, 2004 07:32 PM (GMT)
:) Hi all
Could any of the mental health nurses out there let me know the names and locations of the appropriate hospitals/ community teams so I can get an idea which suburbs are within reasonable travelling distance. Is there any sort of crisis intervention/ home treatment going on. Any info much appreciated.

services at Flinders Medical Centre are currently expanding, as a brand new unit is being built.

Hello,

I am an RMN currently working in Aberdeen. I have spent nearly 3 years working in a 28 bedded acute admission unit,(Adult Mental Health) and have spent a short time working in a rehabilitation unit since I qualified in 2002.

Visas have been granted for my family and myself (husband Allan, and our daughters Allana and Rhiannon).

We hope to move to Adelaide, or near to Adelaide in Jan/Feb 2006, (house currently on the market). I would be grateful if anyone could tell me where there are jobs for RMN's in Adelaide or near to there, what the shift patterns are like, and how easy it is to secure a job.

I am currently liasing with Geneva Health who I have found to be very helpful, so far. Thanking you in anticipation,

Christine Wares.
