We enquired about this service when we arrived and it was useless. Also, friends of ours went there for help with finding work and their suggestion to him was to offer to work for free for a while companies decided if he was good enough to employ or not. Usually you'd expect a paid temp / contract arrangement for this. They offered to rewrite someones CV and did it badly and told one IT person there was no chance he was going to find work and that he should think about becoming a taxi driver (even though his application had been fast tracked because they were so desperate for IT people).
It might have improved / changed, I hope so, but just be aware that it might not be all its made out to be.

I agree with Mandy. We arrived in Aug 2004 and MECS were utterly useless.
If you can speak English and have successfully applied for a job before, you won't need them.
