Pity you didn't find the site of any interest, you know the old saying horses for courses! The best time to view Mt Lofty Botanical Park is in Spring though, perhaps you just picked the wrong season.

Did you travel up to Mt Lofty lookout the scenery there may have been more to your liking, vast views out over the metro area's to the Gulf of St Vincent?

Yeah - the lookout is great - saw my first Bandicoot there a couple of weeks back, and it was also where we saw our first wild Koala, although he wasn't very wild at the time as he was asleep. The walks there are good as well, if a tad knackering.

The hills are steep, some nice picnic areas and it's very cheap! A nice place to relax (we walked during 32+ temperatures) and enjoyed it. If you don't like hills go to the botanic gardens north of the city.
