Title: Screensavers!!!

Jack Blaguar - October 1, 2005 02:48 AM (GMT)
I'm usually pretty leary about downloading any screensavers, so I though maybe we could start a place here to share RELIABLE, crap-free places to d/l screensavers.

The rule here: Post it only if it's SAFE!

I'll start by offering a recent find that will appeal to you Star Trek fans:

System 47 Screensaver (Star Trek)

It's pretty cool. It looks like the ship's computer display, System 47, and runs through several diagnostic tests and sector scans... sound effects and all.

If anyone has any decent sources for cool screensavers, post 'em here. ...but follow the rule! lol

(Pssst! BRYAN!)

Many months ago, I had posted my favorite screensaver (Marine Aquarium 2 by SereneScreen.com), and had posted that it was clean... no adware/spyware. Bryan ended up d/l'ing it and informed me that Ad Aware proved me wrong.

With that said, I'd like to add that full versions are available for purchase at Wal-Mart (I haven't tested that version or heard anything about it), you get the trial version with Windows Plus! for XP... (THAT is the one I have! ... registered full version.)

Apparenty, the trial version downloaded from SereneScreen.com is the version with all sorts of adware... because mine is clean.

So, I won't encourage the d/l from the site, but I DO encourage those of you who may have Windows Plus! or see it cheap.... hit me up for the registration code.

Say Cheese, Pumpkin.

Right now we have a screensaver from the movie "Must love Dogs". Its a pug (type of dog) licking the the screen.

ALy got it and I havent had the heart to change it, but its been up there for months now, plus the background is a pug as well.

If you find any good anime screen savers let me know. ;)

Try here:
http://www.screensavers.com/search/results...me&tp=1&org=all

there's a box whether or not they've been checked for spyware and viruses.

I haven't downloaded any of them, but they have a decent selection

I see.
I suppose its possible to download it and then run adaware...
