Yo, does anyone know what a Ogm file is and how I view it?

I was tryin ta download a movie, but its not a file type dat my programs can read.

Do I need ta get another program, or am I S.O.L. and need ta try a different download for a program I have?

OGM is another extention for the OGG container adopted by Windows users to distinguish music (OGG) and video (OGM). Although not an official extention it is used by DivX and Xvid encoders that put video into the Ogg container.

This tool workes just fine to open .ogm files.
http://www.videolan.org/vlc Try it, if you find no other.

If this fails, look for a different format. ;)

I dont know what happened when I tried ta use da VCL player again its playin all scrambled now.

When I first started ta watch da movie it was fine. I didnt get ta finish it tho.

So when I came back ta watch it, da player went crazy and wont stream the video.

My WMP (windows media player) still works fine, but da VCL is all screwey.

I tought maybe it was da movie, but dat wasnt it, because it wont play anything now.

Anyone got any suggestions?

I guess it was a short term glitch. I tried it again earlier today and it worked fine.

*scratches head*

I guess it was just one of those things.

Whats is XVid?

Ive seen it as a file extension for downloads, but I dont know what it does.

Is it part of Windows Media? And if so, does it work in conjunction with the WMP?
