What is GT Ripple?
GT Ripple ripples your desktop wallpaper making water pictures come alive. You can even put a lake into a picture that has no water by using the mirror option!

Yo it looks interesting.

I'll check it out and report back.

I downloaded it last night.

Its pretty cool. It makes for a real trip when you apply it to a background that has nothing to do with water.

Like right now I have a shot Aly took of the sky during an amazing sunset, and I applied the ripple effect to it. It looks like the palm trees are coming out of the water. LOL

Pretty amazing if you ask me.
Good find man.

Yo I tried it out dis morning.

Its a little confusing at first, but a sick effect. I'll havta do some trial and error wit it ta see what works best.

Yup. I remember this. I had this a couple years ago. It's a great addition to the right desktop picture. ;)

Got any suggestions for a good type of Wallpaper to use Jack?

If you look online, you can find a lot of sunset, beach, and other images that look awesome.

Also, make sure you play with the settings to get the best results. ;)

(I can copy and post a screen cap of the settings I use for each picture to give some ideas)

Alright.

Yeah, if you wouldnt mind posting some of your settings, just to give me some ideas.

Have you tried using it on any images that dont have water in them?

Jack Blaguar - January 15, 2006 01:37 AM (GMT)
As a matter of fact... that chinook picture... in the field... that picture didn't have water in it. I PUT that water there after being inspired by seeing it with GT Ripple.

Okay.... here are a few examples:
