Long stretch of water that reaches the horizon and touches the sky. The only thing that can be seen is Grotto Isle and it's smaller rocky outcrops in the ocean.

In the distance, coming towards shore sluggishly, was a rather fairsized ship. It had 2 masts and 3 major sails - the design of a dragonskull (with scar over left eye) over 2 crossed swords decorated the main sail in front and any small flags that decorated the ship. There were 4 places for cannons, and a handful of pirates to play with them.

However, the Zanfar had no intentions of attacking the isle...

"That where ye want t' land, capt'n?" one of the pirates - standing next to Zako, the capt - muttered as the capt looked at GrottoIsle through a telescope.

"Yup..." Zako replied, giving the telescope to Gil, who was the other man.

Gil grabbed the telescope, peered through, and scroffed - tossing it off somewhere unimportant (where as it hits a passing deckswapping Boy and knocks him off his feet). "That's GrottoIsle, there's nothing important that. No treasures or anything. No adventure.. It's Bloody Boring..." He glanced sideways to his capt

"Yup..." Zako replied, putting foot up on the railing of the ship and glancing out at it through his good eye.

Gil rubbed the back of his head... "So.. um.. why are ye doing this again?"

Zako stretched out his tattooed, scared arms, resting one on belt.. "Cause it's about time for a vacation..."

The ship set off to the docks.

*The Phoenix Wing sails off to the open sea and heads off to deliver the package that were carrying*

*Some days later Deadeye returns to the Grotto Isle sea limits and sees the island and his ship the Phoenix Wing heads begins to Dock in Grotto Isle *

*Kai's ship, well, what was now his ship, sailed not far from the Isle. He spotted a small island that was marked on the map.*
That must be it. *grin*
*He continued and pulled the ship up onto the island, far enough so it wouldn't float off without him. He walked up the beach and looked at the map, making sure to get the right direction, not that the island was really big enough to need it. According to the map it was near a bunch of large rocks. He walked aways untill he spotted the grouping of rocks and ran over to it.*
*There was a small mound of dirt next to the rocks.* That must be where it be.*He looked around and grabbed a small rock and started to dig away at the dirt.*
*After awhile he hit something that sounded hollow. He continued to dig untill he was able to pull out a small treasure chest. A little disappointed in its size, but then again, it could have jewels worth more than gold. He grinned and openned it up...*
A fruit?! What's a peice of fruit doing in a treasure chest?! -.-
*Takes the fruit out and looks at the rest of the treasure chest, making sure that he didn't miss anything. Was pretty pissed off when he found it was only the fruit that was inside.*
*Growling, he then gave the fruit a quick look over. The fruit was black with wing-like leaves, grey spirals, and 2 stems. Odd looking to say the least, but he could tell that it was a fruit.*
Great.... what am I supposed t' be doing with a weird looking fruit? -.-
'.....grumble....'
*As his stomach grumbled, he noticed that he hadn't eaten anything all day. Looked at the fruit for a few moments, shrugged, then took a bite out of it. The inside of it was red, like a watermelon. Had an interesting taste of its own, wasn't really like anything he'd ever had before. Was still good though. So he continued to quickly eat the fruit.*

Sailing in an incredibly crappy skiff... Zako and Tag sail to the small isle Kai recently discovered via Zako's map.

"Maybe he didn't find the chest yet..." Zako commented to himself, letting the whole Jonny convo slide...

Give or take a bit and they board the isle - the ship practically falling apart once it hits the coast. Zako hops out and goes straight for Kai

Tag was thankful that Zako seemed to lose interest shortly after posing the question. Infact, he seemed almost to completely dismiss Tag from thought the moment they were at sea.

"What's this treasure anyway?" he asked curiously. The ship suddenly shook violently and he realized they'd reached the island. Zako had already left and was trying to catch the other guy, whoever he was. Tag slowly followed behind, a bit curiously.

Zako, once near Kai, first looked around.. "You found the treasure?" before seeing hte closed box there. Breathed a sigh of relief, taking hte box and patting it. at least the treasure was safe.

The box popped open to end up empty O_O

Zako then went on to shake Kai.. "There was a fruit in there, where is the fruit!? What'd you do with it!?"

*Kai was licking his fingers when Zako showed up with some kid. Now that Zako was here, he could find out why that fruit was where it was.*
Stop shaking me! I ate the fruit, besides, what'd ye put a fruit into a treasure chest fer? -.-

Tag suddenly started laughing histarically at Kai for his mistake.

"Ya idiot!" he called out "Ya just ate devils fruit didnt ya?"

He continued laughing at the poor mans foolishness.

"Ya'll never swim again, ya idiot! Ya'll sink right to the bottom!"

Revenge was sweet, and it took tag everything he had to keep from rolling on the ground with laughter.

Zako grit his teeth when Tag stated the truth.. And hung his head with a hand to his forehead, rubbing off a migrane.. "Yeah, was the KageKageFruit..." the man muttered aimlessly, "You'll now be sent to hell (that's how the legend went) no matter what you do... as well..." Though the pirate capt. wasn't religious, he at least knew how the saying went well enough..

After saying that, Zako began to walk towards Tag's ship, waiting.. watching Kai with a pretty angry regretful look in his eye.

Eh? That was a Devil's Fruit?! o_O So I can't swim? At all?! What else does it d'? I thought they were supposed t' give ye powers, but I dun feel any different....
*Kai followed Zako towards Tag's ship. As he walked along, he stepped into the shadow of a tree... and fell right in.*
AAAAAAAGH!!!

Tag couldn't really tell what happened, but the way they had all started walking towards his ship reminded him of more important concerns.

"MY ship!" he shouted happiy, making a beeline for it. The boy lept into the boat, swinging around the mast and falling on his rump in the process. He was sore, but it was worth it.

"Will ya hurry it up Zako?" he called out with a grin.

Zako seriously wasn't expecting the kid to fall into a shadow literally, and was hung whether to get on the parting Real ship, since the skiff they sailed in on practically came apart upon beaching, or help save Kai from a tree.

But when Tag called him he was in enough surprise to accept that and get onto the ship before it got out too far, clinging onto the one-man ship as if he'll fall off and not be able to get back on.

Calling out to the kid still on the isle.. "You can take our boat back, Kai! I'll have lots of things to tell you when you get back to grotto! You Owe Me Another Fruit!"

*It was very weird. He was now at ground level. He could feel himself only in 2-d, but could see everything around him. He could see Zako and Tag leaving in the boat he had stollen and would have cursed at them had he not been too freaked out by what had just happened.*
*He didn't know how to get out of the shadow. He wanted to, but couldn't, and started to panic. Moving back and forth through the shadow, trying to get out. He tried to go through the sunny area, but it was like trying to move through jello and tiring.*
*After a few moments and after tiring himself out by trying to get out, he sat still in the shadow for a moment.*
~How am I supposed t' get out of this?!~
*He was calming down a bit, mostly because he was tired. He thought about getting out of there and suddenly started to emerge from the shadow. As soon as he was fully out, he jumped back out of the shadow and into the sunny spot, breathing heavily. For some reason the sun seemed hotter than usual, but he contributed that to being tired.*
*After calming down a bit more and catching his breath, he went over to the makeshift boat on the sand. The thing wasn't functioning, yet. So he got to work on it, now worried about drowning. He'd always been a good swimmer and to think that he couldn't anymore was strange. He was tempted to try and see if the rumor was true, if he really couldn't swim. He decided to try it some other time and got to work on fixing the boat.*
*After about an hour, he got the ship in working order. It was strange, the sun still seemed really hot, almost making him feel sick. He continued to try to ignore it and got on the makeshift boat and sailed back to the Grotto Isle.*

Tag had a contented look on his face as he streatched out in his ship.

"Hey, Zako? Why'd ya find that fruit anyway? I mean, it seems kinda pointless for a pirate unless it, ya know.. lets ya hold your breath for a really long time or somethin"

Let Tag guide them back to grotto.. and seemed pretty nervious til they get back to the beach and/or land... Though tried to stay as serious if not carefree as he could (if you can imagine that, anyway). "I just wanted to put it where only I knew where it was.. so noone else got a damn power... I hate those fruits, they curse people..." but went no more into the topic.. since Kai found and ate it after getting his map...

*Was a bit nervous going over the water on something that wasn't even a ship, especially if the rumor about not being able to swim was true. He was really starting to feel ill since the sun was making him so hot. Now would have been a good time to swim, if he still could. The boat continued to the Isle.*

*Kai woke up the next morning after not getting a whole lot of sleep. He yawned and stretched, then wandered out of his room and down the hallway. He came up to the top side of the ship. It was bright and sunny outside, his eyes squinted painfully.*

Kei was already outside, laid out on a lawnchair sunbathing. She was laying on her stomach, and it was obvious she didn't have a top on...

*He noticed Kei and walked over to her, sticking to what little shadows there were on the deck of the ship. Still squinting.* Kei, what d' ye have fer food around here?

"Go find the kitchen, the chef should be there..." she waved him off lazily.

Um... alright... *He wandered back inside, happy to get away from the bright, glaring, hot, sunlight. He wandered around until he smelled food and then found the cook.* So ye be the cook fer this ship?

"Aye, that I am, what's it to ye?" the old man sneered as he continued cooking.

Well... I be new t' the ship an' all, an' I was wondering if ye could cook fer me. An' just t' warn ye... I kind of eat a lot... *blushing slightly*

"Ah, so is that a challenge?" he laughed, flipping some cooked vegetable in a pan.

*Kai then grinned.* Sure... it is. Let's see if ye can cook enough in.... let's say 15 minutes t' make me full.

"Yer on." the old man laughed and started whizzing around the kitchen, cooking this and that with lightning speed, a mound of food quickly appearing on the table...

*Kai grinned happily. This was already better than being at the Marine base. He had someone here to cook for him, and what seemed like a good cook, too. He then started shovelling food into his mouth, quickly eating it. He was a really good cook, the food was great. Now just to see how much he could cook up in such a short time.*

Let's just say the food maintained a fairly high stack, dispite how much Kai was eating... The table could never be seen...

*Kai looked over at the cook, now with more determination to eat in his eyes. He tried to eat faster, trying to make the food disappear from the table before the cook could finish cooking.*

The chef wasn't even breaking a sweat, and appeared to be enjoying all this emensly. The mound of food still wasn't going down...

*Kai wasn't sure what to think. He didn't want the cheif to beat him, but at the same time, it was so nice having someone who would cook that much for him, and so quickly. He tried a little harder, but the only way he could possibly eat any faster would be if he were starved for two days or so.*

So thus the food continued to pile up for the whole fifteen minutes... Towards the end of the time frame, he actually picked up the pace, and the pile actually grew instead of staying consant...

*Kai was still eating by the end of the 15 minutes, but he was having to push himself to eat now, he was just on the verge of being full and he wasn't about to let this food sitting in front of him go to waste, or let the cook win...*

"Give it up kid, the pile's still higher than yer head..." the chef laughed.

*He gave a slight, but playful glare at the cook.* I can still eat it... *Though he knew that was a flat out lie. He was full, though he still forced himself to take a few more bites of food.*

The chef just stood there with crossed arms, watching Kai attempt to finish the rest of it. "Need some help?" he laughed.

*Kai finally gave up when he was almost getting sick from eating too much.* Aye... I think I'm done... *He grinned* Yer a good cook, I think I'm going t' like being on this ship.

"Hold on a second..." the chef laughed and stuck his head out the door. "Kei! Got some grub fer ye!" he could be heard shouting very loudly, and within seconds, Kei dashed in and started eating the rest of the food quickly, almost like Kai...

*Kai sat back in his chair, trying to get the food to settle in his stomach. He then watched Kei run in and then eat like he would have, had he still been hungry.* I dun think I've ever seen a woman eat that fast before. Seirei never ate much, I suppose I'm just used t' that... *He frowned a little, remembering Seirei.*
