Anyone else seen this movie? I had never seen it, but I was intrigued, so I bought it yesterday, and watched it. Very good movie.

Jet Li is Nameless (he was orphaned as a baby, and never given a name), who has killed the top 3 assasins, and is returning to see the emperor of Qin, where he was raised, to be praised.

He tells the emperor his story of how he managed to kill all three. This entertains the emperor, but he thinks Nameless is lying, and describes what he thinks happens.

------

I'm not gonna tell you if the emperor was correct, or what happens in the end, since that would ruin everything, and it'd be no fun. The costuming was interesting. The style of the costume never changed in each story, but instead changed colors. 4 Color changes, Red, Blue, White, Green.. I found it interesting because those are the colors that correspond to the Chinese Gods; The Phoenix, The Dragon, The Tiger, The Tortoise. But I'm weird.

I bought the movie without previously watching it, and I think it was definitely worth the purchase.

So the 3 colors are really the colors as you say , what the chinese people belive in as the chinses gods ? * intresting * so on a scale 1-10 making 10 the best , how exactly good is it ? oh yeah and where did you buy the movie from ?

On the scale, I would put it at an 11. Defenitly in my top 5 fav movies of all time.

I love this movie. I love it with a fifth of my heart (the other 4/5 are for the other 4 on my top five list). The story telling was incredible. Simply magnificent. And the way some of the scenes were done blew my mind. I love the scene with all the leaves!

I agree that the way the costumes were done, but I never knew about the corolation with the chinese gods. Do the stoies that are told seem to fit with characteristics of the gods? Like do they seem like something the god would say or do? That's nifty! Now I need to read up more on Chinese mythology.

(hehe.. I learned the colors from watching Fushigi Yuugi!! Anime is a great teacher!! ^_~ )

This movie rocked! I'd definitely put it at a 10! I live on base, so telling you that I bought it at the BX would be absolutely pointless for you. Any store will have it, as long as it sells DVDs. Target, Bestbuy, Suncoast, etc.

As to the colors... I only really know the Red and the Blue... the anime didn't go into the other two very much... but, Red is of the heart, for love and passion. Blue is of the mind, for intelligence and the like.

As far as I could tell, it fit... I just wish I knew what the Green and White represented.
